Patient Kiosk

The Eclipsys Patient Kiosk, a module of the Eclipsys PeakPractice™ EHR/Practice Management system, allows patients to check in and complete standard forms in a self-service capacity, without assistance from staff. The kiosk is designed to improve patient satisfaction and increase administrative efficiency by freeing up office staff to concentrate on more important tasks.

The Patient Kiosk first asks patients to identify themselves by providing personal information. Then the kiosk guides patients through an “interview” with detailed instructions. Patients may be asked to update insurance and contact information, complete questionnaires or health surveys, complete medical history information, indicate the source of pain or discomfort, or sign electronic consent forms. New patients can also register using the kiosk.

Fully integrated with Eclipsys PeakPractice EHR/Practice Management, the Patient Kiosk synchs with scheduling calendars, assisting with the check-in and wait list processes. Patient-provided information may also be set to automatically import into the patient electronic health record (EHR) software, or can be set up for manual review.
