St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Outcomes achieved using Sunrise Patient Financials:
- Outstanding total A/R FY08 YTD = 29.3 days
- Days outstanding — total unbilled revenue improved 1.2 days
- Total denials decreased 10%
- Total self-pay cash collection increased 36.5%

- Will be piloting mandatory use of Diabetic SQ Management Order Set, shown to improve blood glucose management and care for patients with diabetes and hyperglycemia
- 85% of physicians utilize Admission Order Sets thanks to Clinical Manager's evidence-based clinical content and ease of use. Promoting use of SQ insulin convenience order is key contributing factor for continuous ongoing improvement in diabetes management

Clinician Adoption
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Monterey, California

- Achieved 95% CPOE adoption in community-hospital environment within first 6 months and maintained year-plus
- Over 80% of all orders entered directly by physicians
- Over 80% of orders entered using order sets

Each winning organization received a crystal award and one fully paid registration for next year’s EUN Outcomes Conference, to be October 15-18 in Dallas, TX.
Outcomes Banner Award Focused on Satisfaction
This year, nine healthcare organizations participated in the Outcomes Banner Award program at EUN.
The winner of the Outcomes Banner Award, determined by all of the Eclipsys clients attending the Conference, was Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Outcomes achieved were in the areas of staff efficiencies, patient safety and patient and team satisfaction:
- Eight-step reduction in access/re-access process from scheduling to preliminary reporting
- Reduction in preliminary-report turnaround time — from 78% within 24 hours to 89.4% within 12 hours
- Patient satisfaction improvement — from 81% to 91%
- Team satisfaction improvement — from 74th to 93 national percentile
The hospital received a complimentary registration for EUN 2009, and took home the banner to display in their organization.
Over Four-fold Increase in Eclipsys Communities Participation!
A highlight of this year's EUN Outcomes Conference was the official launch of Eclipsys Communities, a new online networking forum to facilitate issue- and solution-oriented discussions and sharing year-round.
By the end of EUN08, four times as many people were participating in Eclipsys Communities since the previous week alone. And total participation in the entire ClientConnect slate of programs is nearly SIX times greater than at the start of 2008!
